How to mix and inject

The calculator gives you a number. This is everything around it.

Mixing the vial

1Wipe both stoppers
Alcohol pad on the rubber top of both the water and the peptide vial. Let them dry.
2Draw your water
Pull the amount the calculator gave you. Flick out any big bubbles — small ones do not matter here.
3Aim at the glass, not the powder
Angle the needle so the water runs down the inside wall. Blasting it straight onto the powder is what shears the peptide.
4Swirl, never shake
Roll it slowly between your fingers until the powder is gone. It can take a few minutes. Shaking damages peptides — and if it foams, you shook it.
5Write the date on it
Mixed date on the vial, in marker. You will not remember otherwise, and knowing how old the liquid is matters more than any other detail about storing it.
6Into the fridge
Reconstituted peptides live in the fridge, not the freezer and not the door. Dry powder is fine at room temperature until you mix it.

7Pinch, then go in
Pinch a fold of fat, go in at 45 to 90 degrees, push slow, count to three, pull straight out. Press with cotton — do not rub.

    Two numbers in, one number out. Nothing is saved.

    Before you read anything into this

    BMI is a crude ratio of weight to height. It cannot tell muscle from fat, so a lean, muscular person often lands in "overweight" or even "obese" while carrying very little fat. It also ignores where fat sits, and it shifts in meaning with age, sex and ethnicity.

    Treat it as a rough population screen, not a verdict on your health. Waist measurement, waist-to-height ratio, bloodwork and how you actually feel all say more. If you want real numbers, a DEXA scan measures fat, lean mass and bone directly - it is the closest thing to a true body-composition read, and many clinics and universities offer them affordably. Bioimpedance scales and calipers sit somewhere in between.

    before your first shot

    What you will need

    Six things. Most of it costs less than lunch.

    1 mL insulin syringesU-100, 100 units
    The whole calculator assumes these. U-100 means 100 units of liquid fill exactly 1 mL, which is the only reason units convert cleanly. A 0.5 mL syringe still says U-100 but stops at 50 — the numbers stay honest, you just have less room.
    Buy more than you think. One per shot, never reused — the tip dulls on the first pass.
    Bacteriostatic waternot sterile water
    The one with benzyl alcohol in it. That preservative is what lets you puncture the same vial again and again without growing something in it. Sterile water has no preservative and is single-use only.
    Store the bottle at room temperature - the label says 20 to 25 C, not the fridge. Write the date you first opened it on the label so you always know how old it is.
    Alcohol prep pads70% isopropyl
    Two uses every time: wipe the rubber stopper of the vial before the needle goes in, and wipe the skin before you inject.
    Let it dry. Alcohol kills as it evaporates, and injecting through a wet patch is what actually stings.
    Cotton balls or gauzefor after
    Light pressure on the spot for a few seconds after the needle comes out. Press, do not rub — rubbing spreads it under the skin and is what leaves a bruise.
    A tiny bead of blood is normal. A lump that stays for days means you went too shallow.
    A sharps containeror a hard plastic jug
    Never loose in the bin. A laundry detergent jug with a screw cap works if you label it. Most pharmacies and county waste sites take full ones.
    Never recap a used needle. That is when most people stick themselves.
    Gauge and lengththe two numbers on the box
    Gauge is thickness and it runs backwards — a higher number is a thinner needle. Length decides how deep it goes. Tap one:

      Just volume — the bacteriostatic water you mix in. It tells you nothing about strength. More water makes the same peptide more dilute, less water makes it more concentrated.

        The number printed on the vial — the total dry peptide inside, not one dose. A "10 mg" vial holds 10 mg of powder that you are about to divide into many shots. If the label reads 10,000 mcg, that is the same as 10 mg.
        Pick up the vial and read the front of the label. Type the number of mg printed on it, then continue.

        There is no single right answer - more water just spreads the same dose over more units, which is easier to measure.

        Bacteriostatic water is what you mix the powder with. More water spreads the same dose across more units, which is easier to measure. Less water squeezes it into a tiny sliver. The peptide amount never changes — only how dilute it is.
        Now actually do it: draw that much bacteriostatic water, push it slowly down the inside wall of the vial, then swirl gently until the powder dissolves. Never shake it. Once the water is in, hit the button.
